Northumberland art created using charcoal and chalk of a seascape from Holy Island/ Lindisfarn looking towards Bamburgh Castle, Northumbrian. A beautiful black and white piece of moody art.
We crossed the causeway to visit Holy Island. Excited to be there we wondering around in the beautiful sunshine seeing all the sights the island had to offer.
At the Lookout Tower we saw this view. Looking over the water to Bamburgh Castle. The sea so calm, the sand dunes just visible above the water.
Called “Blue For You” due to the main colour and as a family we love Northumberland and look forward to re-visiting one day.
This is an original charcoal drawing, created by hand and inspired by a view from Holy Island of Bamburgh Castle in Northumberland.
Working in charcoal allows me to focus on light, texture and atmosphere, capturing a sense of place in a simple, expressive way.
This smaller piece is ideal if you’re looking for an original artwork that is easy to display or gift.

The original Northumberland art measures approximately 19cm (H) x 19cm (W).
Unframed:- The final artwork is mounted in an acid free mount (10″x10″) and posted out ready for you to take to a framer to choose the frame.

Drawing on my degree in Fine Art, I create a charcoal drawing first, then a colourful oil pastel painting of the scene. I use both of these to create the fibre landscape from.
