Enjoy a relaxing, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn to transform soft merino wool fibres into your own unique felt bowls.

You’ll choose your own colours, so every bowl will be completely unique, part of what makes wet felting so special. No experience is needed, just come along, relax, and enjoy the process.

Who this workshop is for

  • Complete beginners (no experience needed)
  • Anyone looking for a relaxing, mindful creative day
  • People who enjoy hands-on craft workshops in Yorkshire
  • Those wanting to try something new and learn a traditional skill
  • Friends, individuals, or anyone looking for some creative “me time”

What to expect

  • Step-by-step guidance to create your first bowl
  • Opportunity to make a second, and if you’re quick, possibly a third
  • Take home your bowls to dry naturally

This is an introduction to wet felting a vessel (bowl) technique using a resist. The process involves layering merino wool fibres over a resist, adding warm soapy water, and using friction to transform them into solid felt.

I’ll be there to guide and support you every step of the way, especially the magical final rolling stage where your wool becomes a finished bowl.

What you’ll learn

  • How to lay out merino wool fibres
  • How to use a resist to create a 3D form
  • How water, soap, and friction transform wool into felt

The wet felting process is both therapeutic and magical.
