North Yorkshire Moors original oil pastel painting depicting the iconic british landmark called Roseberry Topping in North Yorkshire. It is the highest point of the Cleveland Way trail.
The artwork is of a beautiful summer sunset over Roseberry Topping with the purple heather in bloom in the foreground.
This North Yorkshire Moors painting was inspired by the view from Captain Cookes Monument of the iconic Roseberry Topping. It’s of Roseberry Topping with all the heather in bloom. It blooms in mid July – mid September. We were lucky enough to see this amazing sight.
On the day we visited we climbed up to Captain Cookes Monument and had a lovely family picnic at the top with stunning panoramic views all around. This is a beautiful and special place.
The original artwork measures approximately 22.5cm (H) x 22.5cm (W).
Unframed:- The final artwork is mounted in a double thickness acid free mount measuring 38cm (H) x 37.2cm (w) and posted out ready for you to take to a framer to choose the frame.

Drawing on my degree in Fine Art, I create a charcoal drawing first, then a colourful oil pastel painting of the scene. I use both of these to create the fibre landscape from.
