Our family enjoyed a lovely day out at Robin Hoods Bay by the sea. The beach was a special spot for us to relax, take leisurely walks, and enjoy a paddle in the cool shallows.
Listening to the soothing sounds of the sea brought us a sense of calm as we admired the beautiful scenery.

Unframed:- The final artwork is mounted in a double thickness acid free mount measuring 45.8cm x 47.8cm and posted out ready for you to take to a framer to choose the frame.

Drawing on my degree in Fine Art, I create a charcoal and chalk drawing of the landscape first. I love drawing with charcoal and concentrate on the composition without worrying about the colour at this point. I may make several charcoal versions until I am happy with the composition.
When I am happy with the charcoal landscape I create an oil pastel painting of the same landscape in colour. I do love colour and like to use lots of it. I also love my oil pastels and use them a bit like paint, I can push the pigment around with my fingers during the creation process to create a ‘painterly’ feel to the piece.
