Wondering through the golden field. The mid-august sun blazing down. The birds singing as we walked, and poppies in full bloom. The poppies bright red giving the field a splash of colour over the golden wheat, swaying gently in the breeze. Just enjoying the sunshine and birdsong.

Removing weeds before they pop.
To keep the purity of the seed,
It’s a must to protect the breed.

In the summer sun so hot,
Walking the rows across the plot,
Removing weeds that did persist,
Lucky, poppies stay off the list.
