This Saltburn seascape artwork was inspired by our many visits to Saltburn beach in North Yorkshire.
While the family enjoys bodyboarding in the sea, I often take a wander along the beach, taking in the tranquil atmosphere. It is a moment of solitude, allowing me to relax and be present in the moment.
I listen to the soothing sound of the waves, feel the cool water as I paddle in the shallows and search for sea glass along the shoreline. Although I have never found any yet, it doesn’t stop me enjoying the search!
These simple moments by the sea, the sound of the waves, the fresh coastal air and the ever changing colours of the landscape, inspired me to create this original Saltburn seascape artwork.
Rather than simply recreating a view, I aim to capture the feeling of being there and the memories connected with the landscape.
Saltburn by the Sea is a beautiful Victorian seaside town on the North Yorkshire coast, known for its sandy beach, historic pier and stunning coastal views.
